Our commitment

We believe everyone has the right to get help for a loved one, regardless of disability. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act, the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, and California Government Code section 7405.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the site meets the standard, and we are actively working on the parts that do not yet.

What we have built in

• A "Skip to main content" link and a "Skip to phone" link as the first items on every page.
• Full keyboard operation, with a clearly visible focus outline on every link, button, and form field.
• Text and interface colors checked against the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and controls).
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
• Proper page structure — one main heading per page, landmark regions, labeled navigation, and captioned map frames.
• A "Pause motion" control in the bar at the top of every page that stops the scrolling ribbons, the flip-board sign, and the photo slideshow. The site also honors your operating system's "reduce motion" setting automatically.
• Form fields with visible labels, required-field indication, autofill support, and status messages that are announced to screen readers.
• Spanish-language content marked up so screen readers pronounce it in Spanish.

Known limitations

• Embedded Google Maps. The map frame is provided by Google and we cannot control its internal accessibility. The full street address and a plain-text directions link are always given alongside it.
• Downloadable PDF forms. Our indemnitor application PDFs are not yet fully tagged for screen readers. Call us and an agent will read every question aloud and complete the form with you, or we will provide the content in another format at no charge.
• Third-party payment processing. Online payments are handled on an external processor's website, which is outside our control. You can always pay by phone or in person instead.

Assistive technology we test with

This site is checked with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, using VoiceOver on macOS and iOS and NVDA on Windows, at zoom levels up to 200% and with a 320 px viewport.
